A SAFe® Agilist (SA) Curriculum Focused on Exam Success

The certification curriculum includes a history of SAFe® and the SAFe® core values. Coursework covers Lean thinking around product development flow and software development in addition to Agile principles and practices that can be implemented throughout the organization. You will also learn how to implement SAFe® at the team level including Scrum and XP methods with a focus on the technical, project management and economic prioritization.

In addition, the certification covers SAFe® at the program level which includes how to identify and execute an Agile Release Train (ART) at your organization. Accelerating Value Delivery: Given the projects and constraints provided in the exercise, plot value delivery curves for three projects done serially and done in parallel (simultaneously).

  • Exam format – Multiple choice (one answer) or multiple select (2-3 answers)
  • Exam delivery – Web-based (single-browser), closed book, no outside assistance, timed
  • Exam access – Candidates can access the exam within the SAFe® Community Platform upon completion of the Leading SAFe® course
  • Exam duration – Once the exam begins, candidates have 90 minutes (1.5 hours) to complete the exam

  • Passing score – 35 out of 45 (77%)

  • Exam cost – First exam attempt is included as part of the course registration fee if the exam is taken within 30 days of course completion. Each retake attempt costs $50.
  • Retake policy – Second attempt on exam (first retake) can be done immediately after first attempt. Third attempt requires a 10-day wait. Fourth attempt requires a 30-day wait.
